Ahoy there, Sandy!
Welcome back to planDisney, where dreams set sail and pixie dust fills the air! I’m thrilled to hear your whole crew will be embarking on a Disney Cruise this spring. It’s almost time to trade those work shoes for sea legs and sail into unforgettable memories!
To answer your question: yes, your emergency contact does need to be someone who isn’t sailing with you. Think of it as your landlubber backup! Whether it’s a close friend, a trusty neighbor, or a family member not joining this voyage, they’ll be the ones Captain Mickey can reach out to if needed.
Since your family is all aboard for this adventure, don’t forget about a few key details as your
online check-in date approaches. Each stateroom will need its own check-in, even if your reservations are linked. To make things smooth as a Dole Whip on a sunny day, I recommend having an adult from each stateroom complete their own check-in. That way, it’s quicker and no one feels like they’ve just battled Ursula’s tentacles getting everything done!
Oh, and don’t forget to have these handy for check-in:
• Headshots of each sailor (Snap a photo with your phone; think “passport style,” not “family selfie on Castaway Cay!”)
• Pictures of your
passports (or birth certificates and photo ID).
• Your
payment method to cover all that onboard fun—whether it’s a souvenir, a specialty drink, or a little spa indulgence.
I hope this helps you as you chart a course toward smooth sailing! If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to send them my way. Your cruise will be here before you can say “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!”
Until your family sets sail on a vacation that’ll have you all shouting, “I’m on vacation!” like Donald Duck, I’ll be here to help keep your planning shipshape and brimming with Disney magic.
Sea ya real soon with pixie dust and ocean breezes,
Dustin
