I would like to take the whole family consisting of 7 adults and 3 children (9, 7 2) Any suggestions for lodging? We already decided that a meal plan would work best. Moderate or deluxe will be fine. Hope to visit this year sometime, not sure when.

    Hi Ken!

My favorite moderate resort at Walt Disney World are the Cabins at Fort Wilderness.  They can sleep up to 6 guests and have full kitchens, which is nice when you have large families.  The resort is just gorgeous and it is really like a home away from home.  The location is perfect with just a ferry boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom.  Consider renting a golf cart for added fun at this resort.

The Yacht and Beach Club have crept up to the top of my list this past year.  You can walk into the back entrance of Epcot from these resorts and they have a super awesome pool, Stormalong bay.  The resorts are very sleek and very elegant.  The standard rooms can sleep up to 5 guests, or you can get a one or two bedroom villa to accommodate more guests at Beach Club.  The Boardwalk is nearby, which offers lots of fun entertainment, activities and dining.

I do love the resorts on the monorail line to the Magic Kingdom.  My family recently stayed at the Polynesian, which sleeps up to 5 guests.  We love the tropical atmosphere and the view of Cinderella's Castle from our room.
