Whitney, how many transfers will we be having to get to the parks from FWC? Also , what time does the boat stop going to FWC @ night? Doug says your the expert on FWC.Our first stay @FWC in Oct with 4 boys 7 7 5 and 4.Read the panel every day,tks for help.

    Jim:

Thanks for coming to the panel!

I don't know that I would call myself an expert on Fort Wilderness, but my family does enjoy visiting several times a year!

As for traveling from the cabins to the parks, most folks take one of the internal buses near your cabin loop to either the pier to catch the boat to Magic Kingdom or to the Outpost bus stop for the other parks: Animal Kingdom, Epcot, or Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Our kids see any Disney transportation as another theme park ride!  The boat ride from Magic Kingdom back to Fort Wilderness is the best way "home" to your cabin, and it will run up until about 45 minutes to an hour after the park closes.

Make sure and catch Chip 'n' Dale's campfire sing-a-long while you're at the Fort.  It's our boys' favorite!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
