    Hi Whitney. I was just wondering what time the volcano pool at the Poly closes at night. We are there in Oct. and can picture my husband and I floating in the pool in the dark watching the fireworks from MK. If it closes..is the beach open in the evening?

    I couldn't find the times of the pool from the activities brochure I brought home from my stay at the Polynesian in March so I called the resort. The Nanea Volcano Pool stays open until midnight!  But, because it wasn't in any printed material from my stay, I wonder if the time may change in cooler months even though the pool is heated. So verify that when you check into the hotel so you aren't disappointed.

    If memory serves me correctly, you can indeed see the top of Cinderella Castle and the fireworks while floating in the pool.  There are also lounge chairs on that side of the pool that you can snag and sit in, too. If you're looking for a more private viewing, the beach and pier are only steps away for an evening stroll.
