Hi Whitney! I just read that you recommend visiting the parks that DON'T have EMH if you don't have the park hopper option. Why? We are coming in Dec (6-11) and I am hoping to pick my parks based on EMH, to get the most out of our tickets. Curious...

    Jennifer:

    Thanks for the followup question!

Don't get me wrong: I LOVE Magic Hours in the parks—there's nothing like being there while the rest of the "world" sleeps, whether it's in the morning or at night!

But generally, those parks with magic hours, especially Early Magic Hours, attract not only those enjoying magic hours but also those who would have come to the park anyway.  In my experience, and crowd forecasting sites like www.touringplans.com agree, by noon the park with magic hours is more crowded than the others.  So, if you have one-park-only tickets and don't have the flexibility to move to another park when the crowds thicken, sometimes the extra hour of rides doesn't outweigh the lines that will be created the rest of the day....

In your case, though, December is during Value Season and your dates are at a low time during that season, so I don't know that you would experience the crowds like other times of the year.

Wishing y'all a magical vacation in December!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
