Whitney: my flight doesn't leave till 3:30 PM on my depart day. will resort give me a little extra time past the 11:00 check out time? Thanks and you have a great day.

    Teresa:

    Thanks for the question!

I've had a late flight before and found Disney to be flexible. You just need to ask.

Keep in mind that they may not be able to guarantee a late check-out if it's a busy time of year.  (In fact, just this weekend I traveled to Dallas and stayed in a hotel that couldn't check me into my room by their check-in time....I wasn't too happy.  It's given me fresh perspective on how a late check-out might affect another traveler....)

If it were me, I'd ask upon arrival if I could have a late check-out and again the morning of departure.  If there are still too many guests to accommodate you, considering storing your luggage at the bell stand while you enjoy the park OR if you're using Disney's Magical Express, check in your luggage, store your carry-ons with the bellman, and eat a relaxing brunch or roam the parks!  (I've done this on my past two visits and loved having that last taste of Disney before heading home!)

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
