Hi Whitney!! Fellow Mississippian here. I am a very picky eater and really only love Souther or American cookin. Coming with husband and 2 yo son. Where would you suggest to eat and my husband can eat ethnic food as well?

    Rebecca:

    Thanks for the Mississippi shout-out!

In your case, I would recommend the three of you considering Disney restaurants that either offer a buffet or an extensive menu so that you can maximize your choices!

Outside of the parks my first thought is the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs--there's something there for everyone: from pizza and salads to baked chicken, even Chinese and Mexican, with fajitas cooked on the grill in front of your eyes!  Another thought is the new T-Rex in Downtown Disney.  It's menu is so vast that you can enjoy chicken or ribs while your husband orders one of their Italian pastas.  I haven't ordered the Chocolate Extinction, but I hear it's mouth-watering!  (The theming isn't half-bad, either!)

Inside the parks, Animal Kingdom features Tusker House which offers both American and African flavors, and if you're picky, you'll like the buffet where you both can try many dishes to find what you like.  One of my family's favorites is Teppan Edo in Epcot.  The hibbachi grill's sirloin or chicken would be a solid choice for you and your husband can turn it up a notch by ordering a sushi appetizer!

The biggest dining surprise on a recent visit to Magic Kingdom was Crystal Palace.  The buffet is now my favorite on WDW property.  From macaroni and cheese to tabbouleah, prime rib to adobo pork, the variety was outstanding (American, Meditteranean, Pan-Asian, etc.) and the food superbly fresh.  Best of all, you can finish it all off with some self-serve, soft-serve ice cream!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
    Whitney

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
