Hello Whitney, we our big FW nuts too, been there 5 times, however we are staying at Movie resort in Sept taking advantage of the free DDP offer. Bringing our 18month old son for the first time any restaurant suggestions?

We've got a lot in common, Theresa!

My husband and I are also going in September and will be staying at one of the resorts instead of our beloved Fort Wilderness to enjoy the free dining again!  We might even cross paths (or Indy cars)!

    • At the top of my list for recommendations for you would be Crystal Palace.  I don't know many children who wouldn't light up at the loveable, hugable Pooh.  Piglet, Tigger and others will be there and do a fabulous job of working the tables (and the buffet is one of Disney's best)!
    • Our kids were in awe of the room-size aquarium at Coral Reef. Best of all, if you're not a seafood lover, they have a good steak!
    • Make a late "brunch" reservation at Tusker House and you'll not only get to enjoy Donald in his safari gear, but also take care of breakfast and lunch.  I'd recommend following up with an early dinner that day with counter service at Downton Disney's Wolfgang Puck Cafe, and you can catch a bus back to the All-Stars.
    • Lastly, eat somewhere special that the two of you would enjoy.  I don't know many "adult" restaurants that welcome toddlers with open arms like Disney, so take advantage of it.  You can even double up two of your dinner credits toward the end of the week to enjoy a restaurant like California Grill with its skyline view of the Magic Kingdom or enjoy a great steak at Yachtsman's Steakhouse via boat from both Disney Studios or Epcot!  (Here is how you can double up those table credits without feeling like you skipped a meal!)
    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
