Where/How do I change the credit card linked to my Disney Experience account?

    Hey There, Allison!

I'm so glad you've brought your question to planDisney.  I really enjoy the convenience of having a payment method saved to my Disney Account –– from ordering MagicBands and booking advance dining reservations to making payments in Walt Disney World theme parks, I love that I don't have to dig for my card with each purchase.  I'm happy to walk you through the process of editing your card information or adding a new card to speed things up as you plan your next visit.

I think the easiest way to update your payment information is by using the MyDisney Experience mobile app.  First, make sure you have the latest version of the app downloaded to your mobile device. Then, here's what you'll need to do:

    1. Sign in to the app using your Disney Account.
    2. From the main menu, scroll towards the bottom and select "My Profile".
    3. Tap "Payment Method".
    4. Follow the on-screen prompts to edit an existing card on your account or add up to six new cards.  If you choose to add more than one card, you'll need to select a primary card as your default.
    5.  If you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel during an upcoming stay and would like to charge purchases to your room, you can also add a pin number to your card from this screen by tapping on "Disney Resort Hotel Guest Pin".  This adds an extra level of security to your MagicBand and Disney MagicMobile passes, just like a debit card.

You can also edit your card information from a computer by visiting the Walt Disney World website. Hover over the My Disney Experience tab at the top of the page and select "Allison Profile" from the drop-down menu.  On the next page, select "Payment Method" and follow the same steps that I shared for the My Disney Experience app.

Another great feature of the My Disney Experience mobile app is the ability to create a Disney MagicMobile pass and save it to the digital wallet on your smartphone.  Basically, this allows you to use your phone or smartwatch in place of a MagicBand or Key to the World Card.  Not only is this a great feature if you'd like to skip the MagicBand, but it can act as a backup in case you accidentally leave your band or card in your room (or on the plane, like my oldest daughter!).  Since you're already likely to have your phone with you, it's a perfect solution!  To download your pass, simply select "Disney MagicMobile" from the main menu and follow the on-screen instruction to complete the setup.

Thanks for visiting planDisney, Allison.  If you think of more planning questions as your trip approaches, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always here to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Amy
