When/what dates do the Halloween decorations come down and Christmas decorations go up in the Walt Disney World parks? We are looking to go this year for our vacation and would like to manage to visit the parks during both if possible.

Hello again Kathy and welcome back to planDisney!

Trying to catch two seasons in one trip is the kind of top-tier planning I like to see! Spooky Season and the Jolly Holidays are 2 of the most spectacular times of the year at the Walt Disney World Resort. Traditionally the holiday switch happens pretty smoothly and stealthily as soon as the final Disney After Hours Boo Bash or Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is ending. I'd probably plan to start my vacation on the last day or 2 of October. Last year Christmas bunting had already exploded all over Magic Kingdom Park by the first day of November!

Pro-tip: Check in regularly with Disney Parks Blog for the release of the dates for the After Hours Events for both Halloween and Christmas. I would have been completely insufferable if I had been able to attend Disney After Hours Boo Bash and Disney Very Merriest After Hours on the same trip!

Kathy, I'm sure you're going to have the spookiest, merriest, most magical time ever! Visit us again if you have any more questions. And as always we're so grateful to you for trusting planDisney!

    Happy planning!
