Hi Bonnie!
Congratulations on your upcoming vacation. I think you are going to find the accessibility for mobility challenged people to be world class in the Disney Parks! There is a reason it is called "The Happiest Place On Earth".
You may leave your walker at the stroller and wheelchair rental location when you rent your ECV. Although they will tag it for you, I advise you to make sure it is already labeled with a permanent marking whenever traveling. Click on this link for
ECV Rentals at Walt Disney World to read more about your options. Notice at the bottom of the linked page are vendors listed if you need an ECV outside of the theme parks. You might consider this option if walking from your room to the transportation depots or the main resort hotel areas can be challenging.
To answer your question about bus routes, I can give you a "generally speaking" answer. Generally buses first stop at Port Orleans French Quarter and then go to Port Orleans Riverside before departing to the theme parks in the mornings. However Walt Disney World uses a marvelous GPS transportation system to monitor its fleet and make changes to its routes whenever extra services are needed. Therefore the route each bus takes can vary from day to day and season to season.
Thank you for your question Bonnie, I hope this helps you in planning your vacation. Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any further vacation planning questions you might have.
Blessings,
Brenda ºOº
