Hi Angela,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!
How exciting, you’re preparing for your vacation this summer, I’m sure you’ll have a phenomenal time!
According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, “Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high” aren’t permitted in any of the Theme Parks or Water Parks. If you’re keeping things cool, make sure to use reusable ice packs. As long as your bag is within the above parameters, you should be okay!
Growing up, I knew that I couldn’t eat Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches for every meal while on vacation (well maybe I could, but my parents wouldn’t let me), so we often brought snacks and drinks with us. We’d store them in one backpack, the cold stuff was wrapped in a plastic bag and the snacks were on top. Somehow our drinks were always cold, I guess it was just the Disney magic. If possible, I suggest carrying a backpack and as your family eats the snacks, the bag will get lighter and lighter throughout the day.
If you’re
staying at the Walt Disney World Resort, you could always take a break in the middle of the day for lunch at your hotel. After your lunch or snack break, simply head back into the Theme Parks. This is one of my favorite parts about staying on property!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your summer vacation. If you have any other planning or vacation questions in the meantime,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
