Hiya Monica and welcome to planDisney!
A Disney day can include walking for miles and miles as you travel from one experience to the next. Getting around Walt Disney World can be exhausting under normal circumstances but when you're growing a future Mousketeer I'm sure it can feel even more tiring. If you or someone in your party needs a
wheelchair or an
Electric Conveyance Vehicle or ECV to get mama around the magic a bit easier that is certainly an option. I would personally recommend an ECV for the convenience of controlling it yourself. There are locations in each of the Disney Parks and Disney Springs where you can rent wheelchairs and ECVs and they are first come first serve. Be aware that neither option can be removed from their rental location. Just hang on to your receipt and you can grab one at your next destination.
For example, Mama wants to go to
Magic Kingdom Park and then
Park Hop over to
EPCOT. Simply pay the rental fee for her ECV at the location near the front of the park and enjoy your morning. When it's time to switch parks, return the ECV, catch the Monorail to EPCOT, and she can use her receipt to grab a new one in the new park.
Now if you want an option that you can have with you everywhere for the full length of your stay, consider an off-site provider for your rental needs. You can reserve one in advance and there are several that will deliver your ECV directly to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. My mom has had great experiences in the past and will continue to roll through our vacations with ease.
Monica, it's important that mama's get to enjoy the magic too. Make sure that little future dreamer gets all the
DOLE Whips and
popcorn they can eat!
Happy planning!
Taylor
