    is there wheelchair for rental?

Ahoy there, Lai Yeet! Welcome back to planDisney!

It’s so exciting that you’re going to be sailing on board the Disney Adventure! The Disney Adventure is such a unique Disney cruise ship, and I can’t wait to sail on it one day! I caught a glimpse of it sailing past my Disney Treasure cruise in Port Canaveral, and it was one of the highlights of my entire trip!

All Disney Cruise Line ships are wheelchair accessible, including the Disney Adventure. I can personally speak to the many wheelchair-accessible areas on board the ships, such as accessible seating in the Walt Disney Theater, accessible seating in main dining restaurants, accessible public restrooms, etc.

The wheelchair policy on board Disney Cruise Line is that guests are welcome to use wheelchairs and mobility devices, but they must bring their own on board. Guests cannot rent a wheelchair on board Disney Cruise Line, as there is a limited number of wheelchairs available for emergencies only. Disney Cruise Line also strongly advises any guest who needs wheelchair assistance to travel with another guest who can assist them on and off the ship, at port, etc.

If renting one from a third party for the duration of the cruise, guests must make their own rental arrangements, including for its delivery on and off the ship. But there are complimentary wheelchairs available for any guests who may need mobility assistance during embarkation, debarkation, and for emergency use.

If a guest would like to use a wheelchair during embarkation and debarkation, or needs wheelchair assistance during Ground Transportation, they should fill out the Special Services Request Form at least 60 days before sailing. You can also find more information regarding Special Services, including for guests who need mobility services, in the Information for Guests with Disabilities or Medical Conditions booklet. My recommendation is also to contact Disney Cruise Line to ensure that all the proper information has been provided before your cruise.

Lai Yeet, I hope you found this helpful as you prepare to set sail on the most magical ADVENTURE! I wish you beautiful memories on board! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions.
