Do wheelchair people get front of line access?

    Hello, Melanie! Welcome to planDisney!

Walking around Disneyland Resort can be exhausting for anyone, but for those with mobility issues, a wheelchair or ECV scooter can make a big difference! We often get questions from guests, wondering what the procedures are for disabled visitors regarding attractions.

Depending on the experience, Guests utilizing a wheelchair or scooter will either wait in the standard queue or receive a return time to use at select attractions comparable to the current standby wait. A Cast Member will scan the wheelchair user's ticket at the auxiliary entrance (and up to five other party members who wish to ride with them); however, you'll still wait the same amount of time as other guests. Stop by Guest Relations on your way into the theme parks and pick up a Guide for Guests with Disabilities. The maps will have instructions as to which queue you should enter. You can also view the Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities page on the Disneyland website.

Wheelchairs and Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) are also available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. The rental locations are just inside each Main Entrance. Since you cannot reserve them in advance, it's best to show up first thing in the morning. You also have the option to rent from an outside vendor or bring your own wheelchair.

I hope this helps, Melanie! We'd love to hear from you again...the planDisney Panel is all ears!

I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at my monthly Bunco club for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
