Are there wheelchair areas for firework shows at Disneyland

Hello there, Rianna! Welcome to planDisney. We love getting to answer planning questions and share our favorite park tips with you!

You've brought us an excellent question. Currently, Wondrous Journeys projection show takes place every night with fireworks accompanying them on certain nights and weather permitting. Usually, there are areas roped off for wheelchair and ECVs. These areas are first come, first serve, so I recommend showing up 60 to 90 minutes in advance. This can change, so I do recommend finding a Cast Member at a Guest Relations location in the park earlier in the day to inquire if there will be a location roped off for wheelchair and ECVs that night. Should this space fill up or be too crowded, I recommend heading to "it's a small world". This area usually fills up slower and allows for a bit more room and you can still see the projections across the attraction facade.

I recommend taking a look at the Attraction Access Categories lists to see the different requirements for each attraction ahead of time to best prepare for your visit. Should you need to rent a wheelchair or ECV, there are a limited supply available to rent from Disneyland Resort just east of Disneyland Park gates.

Rianna, thanks so much for stopping by. We hope to see you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mama and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. We love that we are close enough to Disneyland Resort to make a last-minute trip to see the Mouse quite frequently. You'll find us in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can fit in! I love helping my friends plan memorable trips to Disneyland Resort and can't wait to help you too! Learn More About Carrie
