    wheelchair accessible room with shower

    Hiya, Donna! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hear that you're making plans to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few weeks! One of the things I love most about Walt Disney World Resort is how it accommodates all Guests so no one has to miss a minute of the magic! When I visited earlier this year with my mom, we utilized many of the services for Guests with mobility disabilities. This allowed her to enjoy her resort and the parks without any limitations! I hear you're looking for wheelchair-accessible rooms with a shower and I would love to help you find a room that's practically perfect in every way for your travel party.

Donna, when taking a peek at the Explore Resort Hotels page, I'd encourage you to add the dates of your trip and check the box that says "Accessible Rooms." This will pull up the available accessible rooms at different Disney Resorts Collection hotels during your desired dates. At the time of this writing, when adding the dates of September 4, 2022, there are several options that pop up. Once you click on an available resort, you'll be able to see the different types of accessible rooms where you'll be able to reserve just the right one. When reading your message, it sounds like you're looking for a room that says something like, "wheelchair accessible with roll-in shower."

As you continue to plan for your magical vacation, I have a few more tips for you!

    • Once you've booked your vacation package, be sure to make your theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system as soon as you're able! This is an important step to reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your vacation. You can even take a look at the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to see which parks are currently available!
    • Take a little time to download and explore the My Disney Experience app. This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun while at Walt Disney World Resort! You can check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and (my favorite!) mobile order food. I love knowing my meals and snacks will be ready and waiting for me, right when I want them!
    • View the other services for Guests with mobility disabilities to see if there are any other accommodations that could help your travel party have the best experience. If you have more questions about this, feel free to reach out to a Cast Member at disability.services@disneyparks.com.
I'm sending you all the faith, trust, and pixie dust on your upcoming vacation! If you have any other questions, please visit us again. You've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
