Hi there, Steven! Welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you’re planning a truly magical holiday visit to The Happiest Place on Earth—and what better way to celebrate than with a festive feast at
Storytellers Cafe?! I’d be happy to help you navigate those merry mealtime reservations!
Dining reservations at the Disneyland Resort typically open 60 days in advance, often around 6 AM Pacific Time. That means reservations for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day would have become available in late October—or, more specifically, over this past weekend. Because these particular dates are among the most popular of the entire year, it’s quite common for reservations at Storytellers Cafe to fill up quickly once that booking window opens.
But don’t lose hope, Steven! My motto when it comes to Disneyland dining is this: check early and check often! Guests’ plans change all the time, and when they do, reservations can reappear—even just days before a visit. In fact, I once scored a dining reservation at
Lamplight Lounge just a couple of hours before the dining time. I recommend checking the
Disneyland mobile app and website periodically throughout the days leading up to your trip, especially in the early mornings or late evenings, when new openings sometimes appear.
Even if Storytellers Cafe reservations are playing hide-and-seek for now, you’ll still find plenty of delicious ways to celebrate the season. The
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are filled with festive treats, from gingerbread and peppermint delights to hearty seasonal meals and cozy holiday beverages. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the 2025 holiday
Foodie Guide in the coming days—it’s my favorite way to preview all the merry menus and must-try bites arriving across the resort this season.
Steven, I’m sending a little extra pixie dust your way that you’re able to snag that Storytellers Cafe reservation soon. And even if the holidays lead you elsewhere, may every meal be merry, every bite delightful, and every moment filled with the spirit of the season—the perfect recipe for a Christmas to remember at The Happiest Place on Earth!
See ya real soon!
