What do I do if Magic Kingdom is all booked the day I want to attend an event?

    Hey Lota,

Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation begins next week? You will have the most magical time and make the most incredible memories.

I’m so sorry that Magic Kingdom Park does not currently have Park Pass reservations for the day you want to reserve. Don’t fret yet! I have a couple of options for you that will allow you to potentially enjoy a stroll on Main Street, U.S.A., during your upcoming trip. Are your current Theme Park tickets a Park hopper ticket? With the Park Hopper option, you can head on over to Magic Kingdom Park (subject to availability) at 2 pm and enjoy the remainder of your Park day basking in the glow of Cinderella’s Castle. Some guidelines around park-hopping are essential to know first:

    - You must have a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first park you would like to visit that day. At the current time, a Disney Park Pass reservation is not required for the park you plan to hop to, but this is subject to change.
    - You must physically enter the first park before park hopping to a new park after 2 pm.

If your current Theme Park tickets do not have the Park Hopper Option, you are welcome to add the Park Hopper Option to a pre-purchased Standard Theme Park ticket. If you want to add on a Park Hopper option, you can do so in person at Guest Relations before entering the Theme Parks or using the My Disney Experience mobile app.

If you don’t want to add on Park Hopper, or you want to spend your entire day at Magic Kingdom, I won’t lose hope just yet. After all, this is Walt Disney World Resort; there is so much “faith, hope, and pixie dust” in the air. As other Guests change their plans, you can often find Disney Park Pass Reservations that have opened up leading up to your visit. Keep an eye out a couple of times a day, and there is a chance you might be able to find some availability for Magic Kingdom. I’ve had this happen to me multiple times before, so definitely give it a shot.

In the meantime, I will send you some pixie dust and hope that Magic Kingdom opens up to you for your trip next week!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
