    What do I do if the other adult can't come on the trip to Disney and one child doesn't like the thrill rides and the other one does? I don't want my youngest daughter to miss anything she wants to do given it's her birthday. It will be just the 3 of us.

    Hi Doris:

    It sounds like you are in a tough spot with one adult and two children with different tastes.

    I'm not sure how old your children are, but of course, if appropriate, so long as your adventurous child meets the height requirements, your adventurous child can ride the rides solo if the other child doesn't want to ride a particular ride. You can even wait with your adventurous child on line, exit without riding with your other child, and pick up your adventurous child at the ride exit. Simply use a so-called "chicken exit" at the end of the queue. Often there are signs directing you to these "chicken" exits, or you can ask a Cast Member at the end of the line where the nearest exit is and they will point you in the right direction where you can meet up with your child. You and your child need to make the decision if your child can feels comfortable riding solo. At minimum, I would make sure you have a meeting place and cell phones in case you get separated.

    Another idea, but one that comes with a cost, is to use the sitter services at Walt Disney World's preferred childcare provider, Kid's Nite Out. For the standard fee, plus park ticket, you can have a helper that can keep an eye on your child inside the Parks while you and your more adventurous child ride the thrill rides.
