My son who is 14 years old and husband went to Disney Quest on our last trip in January and absolutely loved it! In fact, my whole family will be going on our next trip (with my daughters ages 8 and 11.) They spent the whole day there. There are motion simulators for roller coasters similar to the Sum of all Thrills in the Innoventions Pavilion at Epcot. There are family games to play together. There are "old school" classic Arcade video games such as Pac Man and Centipede. There is a virtual Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean battle for buccaneer gold which my son absolutely loved. Virtual rides, like Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride, are in 3-D. For more adventurous guests, there is a CyberSpace Mountain which is a virtual roller coaster that you can design. One attraction that is so much fun is Buzz Lightyear's AstroBlasters. You are on bumper cars trying to shoot cannons at other cars. They also have dining available in case you get hungry as my kids always seem to be! I think this would be a great place to have special time with your daughter. Other options would be to take her to the AMC Theater Fork & Screen to see her favorite movie and have lunch or dinner in the theater and then let her do some shopping at Downtown Disney. You could have a "Spa Day" at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. They have some fantastic offerings for preteens. The place is really wonderful and very relaxing. I have so much more to say on this subject, but have run out of room. Please send me a followup question if I can help you further, Shannon.
