We’ve been WDW passholders for years, but are moving out of state after our daughter’s 10th birthday. What last magical experiences would you recommend for our daughter’s last WDW birthday in Florida?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Louis!

Thanks for stopping by with another excellent Walt Disney World Resort planning question. You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Oh boy... it sounds like your family is on to its next adventure but hoping to celebrate one more magical milestone at the Walt Disney World Resort before your departure. I'd be honored to help your family plan a special birthday experience for your daughter!

Louis, the first thing that comes to mind is an Enchanted Extras Collection offering I had the privilege of experiencing with my planDisney family last year. I can't imagine a more magical way to celebrate a birthday than a specialty fireworks cruise to view Happily Ever After from Seven Seas Lagoon! Your pontoon boat will depart from any of the Resort hotels near Magic Kingdom Park, make a leisurely loop around the lakes as you enjoy the sunset and each other's company, and then remain stationary while you view the fireworks from the water. Your family will enjoy complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the experience, and you may even opt for the boat to be decked out in "Happy Birthday" decor! Guests can reserve Enchanted Extras Collection experiences up to 60 days in advance, so you're within your booking window now. I encourage you to call the Tours, Recreation phone line to book this experience as soon as possible, if interested!

If your club of Mouseketeers would prefer to celebrate on land, perhaps you could consider an extra special dining experience to commemorate your daughter's special day. Remember, most dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance, so you're eligible to book now. For an upscale celebratory dinner, your family might enjoy Cítricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The menu features Floridian cuisine with Mediterranean influences - the perfect culinary send-off before your big move! Alternatively, Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs is my current top pick for casual al fresco dining. You could round out your daughter's birthday dinner with a visit to The Cookie Bar inside the restaurant! Finally, for a rootin' tootin' good time, your family could giddy-up over to Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. My family had the chance to enjoy this lively dinner show recently, and we can't wait to return for more belly laughs!

Louis, I hope these recommendations provide you with a starting point for planning your daughter's perfect Disney birthday celebration. I wish you safe travels and an exciting new chapter ahead, and I hope your family has the chance to return to The Most Magical Place on Earth even after you're no longer Florida residents! If you have any additional planning questions, you're always welcome to revisit us here at planDisney. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
