We've been to WDW a lot, but this time our in-laws will be going with us and want to spend some alone time with our kids (2 & 6 y/o). What are some special things they can do together... and any ideas for my husband and me for our time without our kid

    Hello, Amy!

What a great family trip to Walt Disney World you six have planned!

My kids love to spend time at our resort pool, which grandparents enjoy, too. If you're staying at a Walt Disney World resort that offers "Movies Under the Stars," little ones can snuggle up in their grandparents' arms, too, to watch a beloved Disney film. Downtown Disney is also always a favorite, with Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique offering Princess and Knight makeovers, and the Lego Imagination Center providing some hands-on play. If a kid-friendly movie is in theaters, they can go to the AMC Downtown Disney 24. In each park, there are also several play areas that might allow for some playground fun for your little ones, too. Depending on the smaller one's interest level, there's always miniature golf, too, at two different locations.

For you two, there are so many options!  You could book a romantic meal at a more formal restaurant or stroll around Epcot at night, enjoying the ambiance of each country's shops and food / drinks at your own pace...or do both!  Consider a spa treatment for each of you, or go out on a date night to see a great new movie while enjoying a good meal and cocktails at Fork & Screen, at Downtown Disney. Also at Downtown Disney is House of Blues, where you can dine on delicious southern fare while enjoying live music. (If you go, try the Lobster Mac & Cheese; you won't want to share.)

There are many other options for all of you; just send me another question with your particular interests as well as where you'll be staying. I'd be happy to give you more specific tips for your upcoming trip to WDW!
