We've visited WDW many times, but now going w/3 families & 5 kids (ages 1-8). Top priorities: transportation ease & good, quick dining options @ hotel. Currently considering BC, WL, Contemporary. All have pros/cons; we canNOT make a decision! Help,

Hi!  So many decisions, but all good choices!

Let me give you my choice resort:  the Contemporary!  With small kids in your travel party, you will love the convenience of the the beautiful Contemporary located just a short walk from the Magic Kingdom.  Other "pros" of this resort include the Contempo Cafe for great quick service dining and Chef Mickey's would be a great way for your entire family to gather for a fun meal and family photo (oh, I can already see the holiday cards that you can make with this picture!)  You can take the monorail to Epcot, and bus transportation to the other theme parks.  For those who have little ones, they can still tuck their babies into bed and get a view of the fireworks if staying in a Magic Kingdom view room - best view around!

I will give you a few thoughts on your other resort choices:  I love the Beach Club, great location to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and amazing pool, but no food court.  With kids, no food court is a deal-breaker for my family.  Wilderness Lodge would be my second choice after Contemporary with its super fun pool, nice food court, and the very fun Whispering Canyon Cafe (a family favorite for dinner!)  Wilderness Lodge has boat service to the Magic Kingdom and bus service everywhere else.

So the winner in my book is the Contemporary.  The only downfall is it is a bit pricey.  If it works into your budget, go for it, otherwise, look into Wilderness Lodge.  Also a Deluxe Resort, but a bit more budget friendly.   Have fun deciding!
