Hi there, Clarissa!
First of all, thank you to you and your husband for being among our medical
Super Heroes. Your service and care are much appreciated!
I can certainly sympathize with the challenge of finding time to make it to the Disneyland Resort. Although I didn’t qualify to purchase the
Southern California Residents 3-Day, Weekday Ticket promotion, I count myself extremely fortunate that I have somehow managed to squeeze in two visits to the Disneyland Resort so far this year. But between my busy work life and living out of state, the yearnings to visit The Happiest Place on Earth again will sadly need to persist a while longer for me too.
I understand the frustration with finding an available
theme park reservation that works with your schedule. Because the number of reservations is limited, it can be common to see many days where no park reservations are available. Still, plans can and frequently do change for other Disneyland Resort Guests. So it is often possible to see park reservations become available when others need to cancel. These cancellations can happen at any time. But I seem to notice it happening most often the evening before a particular reservation day. If you happen to find yourself with some free time to visit in the next week, I recommend stalking the
theme park reservation availability calendar as often as possible. With your tickets already linked to your Disneyland Resort account, you are already set to quickly log in and pick up those reservations the moment you notice they are available.
Tony’s Tip: If you happen to feel like treating yourself, another option that can help is to book a one-night getaway at one of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels. Guests of on-site hotels have access to
theme park reservations exclusively for them. There is often availability from that pool of reservations even when other reservations are taken. My family and I took advantage of this perk for Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests to ensure we could get park reservations during the popular holiday season last year. Yes, it was a splurge. But it was so special to enjoy a magical day at Disneyland Park followed by a relaxing morning sipping delicious Lava Smoothies by the side of our favorite pool at the Disneyland Hotel. It was a “
core memory” we’ll always treasure.
I hope things work out well for you to visit the Disneyland Resort again soon, Clarissa. And if you do happen to change your mind about the possibility of upgrading to a
Disneyland Resort Magic Key pass, remember that you will have until midnight of the last day you use your tickets or until the ticket expiration date, May 26th, whichever comes first, to
upgrade your tickets using the Disneyland mobile app. California residents even qualify to pay for Magic Key passes with easy monthly installments.
Thank you for visiting planDisney, Clarissa!
