Hi, Joanne! Thanks for coming by to see us again here at planDisney!
Can you believe you're less than two weeks away from the start of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation? It sounds like you've been working really hard on getting your plans just right, so I hope I can help you enjoy some fabulous Disney dining.
Joanne, with The World's Most Magical Celebration kicking off on October 1 to mark the
50th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort, there are a lot of Guests just like you and me who are making plans for that week (yep, I'll be there, too!). Because of that, you may find that some dining experiences have limited availability. But don't give up! We just might need to be a little flexible, and maybe even be open to trying something new.
Let's start on the
Dining page on the Walt Disney World website and search for dinner on the second night of your vacation, October 5. Near the top of the page, I can change the date and specify a time and the party size. Searching for a party of 4 at 6 p.m. gave me some great options, including:
Cape May Cafe (Disney's Beach Club Resort)
Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano (Disney's Hollywood Studios)
The Crystal Palace (Magic Kingdom Park)
Trattoria al Forno (Disney's BoardWalk)
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria (EPCOT)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (Disney's Wilderness Lodge)
I like to do a large search like this, by inputting the time and date rather than checking individual restaurants, because it gives you a more complete look at what's available at any given time. It may not be exactly what you were looking for, but I promise you'll find something your family will enjoy.
Also, don't sleep on quick service! You can eat really well at places like
Flame Tree Barbecue at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park or
Columbia Harbour House at the Magic Kingdom without a reservation. Plus, with
Mobile Ordering, you can get your delicious meal and get back to the fun in no time!
I really hope this was helpful for you, Joanne. After all, dining is all part of the fun at the Walt Disney World Resort! Have a magical vacation, and please come see us again real soon!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
