We've been trying to get reservations for the Blue Bayou since we got our tickets 12 weeks in advance to no avail. What's the secret? Thank you, Judy

Hi Judy! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by and asking this great question. I'm happy to help!

How exciting that your Disneyland Resort vacation starts next week! Deciding where to eat is always at the top of my planning list too! Even though you can purchase your theme park tickets further in advance, you cannot make advanced dining reservations until you are 60 days before your arrival date. The Blue Bayou Restaurant is a very popular dining location and reservations do book up fast. While there isn't a secret about how to get reservations at this iconic dining location, I have some suggestions that hopefully will help.

First, I would suggest you continue to check for availability often, especially first thing in the morning or late at night. You could also do an internet search for a free dining reservation finder to help alert you if a reservation possibly opens up. If you are unable to make a reservation before you arrive, I recommend using the Disneyland Mobile App to try to join the walk-up list on the day you arrive and hope to dine. I would suggest doing this as soon as you arrive at Disneyland Park to have the best chance of joining the walk-up list, and you will need to be near the restaurant to do this.

I hope this information helps and that you can get a reservation. I'm wishing you a magical vacation at The Happiest Place on Earth! If you have more planning questions before you arrive, please visit us again at planDisney. We would love to help!

    Happy Planning!
    Smiles,
