We've travelled to DW over Thanksgiving for many years and I always notice that there is unscheduled EMH for many of the nights we're there. Any idea how to tell this early on which parks will be open extra in the evenings? Now, only the 23rd offers EMH.

Hi Christina! Thanksgiving was always the time for my family reunions to Walt Disney World. It is a great week that allowed us to only have the children miss a couple of days of school and the weather usually was dry and cool and very enjoyable.

You are correct that the parks often announced extra hours on certain days. They will do this when the crowds are larger then expected and they extend the day trying to allow all the guests to experience all the attractions in the park. It isn't technically Extra Magic Hours as all guests are allowed to stay.

Right now the Extra Magic Hours for the evening in the parks for resort guests include Sunday 11/18 (Magic Kingdom), Mon 11/19 (Hollywood Studios), and Fri 11/23 (Epcot). Again park hours can be extended on busy days for all guests when there isn't an Extended Hours planned.
