Hi there, Christine! Welcome back to planDisney!
I love when I see questions from fellow Michiganders because I also know firsthand the excitement of leaving our gorgeous Great Lakes for a sailing on the ocean with Captain Mickey! Making those Ground Transportation reservations gets you one step closer to your Disney cruise, and I’m so excited for you! I would be happy to share how the process from the airport to the ship works to help you continue making those magical plans.
When you book
Ground Transportation with Disney Cruise Line from the airport to the port, you don’t need to share your flight details to and from your vacation upon booking it. You will have a chance to share that information later during your Online Check-In, which is completed about a month before your sail date. The exact date that you may complete your Online Check-In is listed in your reservation information in both the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App and the Disney Cruise Line website, under the “Online Check-In” section.
Usually, a day or two before your cruise sail date, you will receive an email from Disney Cruise Line with instructions about where and what time to meet your Ground Transportation. In my experience, this has been on the Ground Floor of the Orlando International Airport (MCO) and earlier in the morning, between 9 AM and 10 AM. This is not a guarantee, but it has been my experience, and I’m sharing so you have an idea of what you might expect. Your exact time and meeting place will be in the email sent to you.
Lastly, since we’re on the subject of
Online Check-In, I’d like to give you some tips when completing it:
- Have all your citizenship documents ready to go.
- You will need a photo of each guest in your stateroom from the neck up, with a clear background and no one or anything else in the photo besides the guest. This will be used as their identification photo on board.
- If you’re staying at a hotel before or after your cruise, have that information ready.
- Have your exact flight numbers and flight information ready so you can provide it.
Christine, I hope I was able to guide you in completing your Online Check-In and providing your flight information when the time is right. I wish you magical memories on board your cruise! Please sail back to planDisney with any questions as you continue your cruise planning!
Seas the Adventure,
Rana
