Hi Katherine,
How exciting to be heading to Walt Disney World for the first time as a family of five! Since you have been to Walt Disney World in the past, I am sure that you already have some great ideas for your trip. Let me offer you some thoughts on traveling with little ones including an infant.
First, when my family traveled with our daughter as an infant, we always found it best to keep her on her schedule as much as possible. For us this meant returning to our resort for midday naps. If your oldest child does not nap, perhaps this would be some special time for that child to spend with an adult in the theme parks while another adult takes the little ones back to your resort to rest. Along the same lines, if you have your own stroller that you can travel with, I suggest that you do so. While you can
rent a stroller at Walt Disney World, sometimes children are comfortable in the stroller that they know.
Be sure to take advantage of the
Baby Care Centers in each theme park. These provide a place to feed and change little ones, as well as just a nice, cool place to relax outside of the hustle and bustle of the theme park.
Finally, yes, I think that character meals are absolutely appropriate for infants! We took my daughter to many when she was a baby. The sweetest was at
Cinderella's Royal Table, where the princesses kissed her forehead and left lipstick kisses on it!
I would love to help you plan more Katherine; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions.
