We've never been to DisneyWorld & are planning on going the middle of March for 5 nights 4 days & plan on staying at 1 of the resorts maybe modrate 1. We have a 7 yr old & a 20 month old. Any help on what to do 1st would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi, Tonya!

Your first trip to Walt Disney World? Oh, you are in for such a treat!

Staying on WDW property is a must for our family, as there are so many perks for Guests who do so. Moderate Resorts are a great option, too, as they give you value for your vacation dollars, but also add a little luxury to your stay, such as Table Service restaurants and pool slides, which I'm sure your 7-year-old would love.

First, I'd head over to Walt Disney World's website and check out Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts there. Enter your travel dates and party size to see what's available for the time you'd like to travel. Do this as soon as you are able, as resorts book up quickly, as do Advanced Dining Reservations. (Your first visit should be super-magical, right? Plan ahead so that the best choices are available for you and your family.)

Once you've secured your resort stay, it's time to turn your attention to Advanced Dining Reservations. Because Disney Dining Plans are so popular, many restaurants book up quickly, too, so the sooner you know where you'll be staying, and when you'll be staying, the better.

Once you've gotten that narrowed down, send more questions and we can help you to determine which restaurants are best for your family, which attractions are must-sees for you and all of the other details which can make a first trip truly magical; we love to help, Tonya!
