Hiya, Lance! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, we’re so glad you’re hEAR!
Like you, my family and I are obsessed with visiting the
Disneyland Resort, and we try to visit as often as possible! Since we’re also
Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders, we enjoy more leisurely park visits, which allows us the luxury of trying out different, “off the beaten path” experiences. So, I’d love to help you brainstorm some unique ideas for family fun... here are a few of my favorites:
1. The Disney Animation Building – Chances are you’ve visited this building in
Disney California Adventure Park to visit
Anna and Elsa, but have you explored the entire place yet? This is one of my family’s favorite spots to spend a few hours. We adore
Turtle Talk with Crush,
Animation Academy, and
Sorcerer’s Workshop. I love interacting with an enchanted book in the Beast’s secret library from
Beauty and the Beast – it’s always fun to see which Disney Character I most resemble!
2.
Games of Pixar Pier – My children are obsessed with this interactive section of Pixar Pier! Head toward the Pixar Promenade and choose from four classic carnival games inspired by Disney and Pixar stories. You’ll even get the chance to win some adorable plush prizes! My children’s favorite game is La Luna Star Catcher, since everyone is guaranteed a plush prize.
3.
Play Disney Parks App – Since you visit often, chances are you’ve already downloaded the Disney Parks app. But, have you tried the Play Disney Parks app yet? This app is my favorite way to pass the time while waiting in line! My favorite place to use this app is on a galaxy far, far away. Upon arrival in Batuu, the Play Disney Parks app transforms into your very own
Star Wars: Datapad, which helps you interact with droids, scan crates, and even tune in to secret transmissions! I can’t wait for you to embark on your own adventures in Batuu!
4.
Silhouette Studio – I recommend starting a new family tradition by having silhouettes done at Silhouette Studio on Main Street, U.S.A.! Silhouettes are a unique, affordable souvenir, and they can be fun to watch, too! The artists create silhouettes at a rate of 60 seconds per portrait – they’re amazing! I also recommend purchasing a frame from the shop to complete the look of this neat souvenir.
I hope these ideas will help your family enjoy a unique, memorable visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, Lance!
Wishing you magic,
Kristin
