Hi there! We’ve been to disney 3 times previously from the UK and always stay on site for all the perks and extras to stay in the magic. With Disney currently taking away busses, magic bands and now luggage tags, is staying on property still worth it?

    Hello Zoe,

As the current UK planDisney Panelist, your great question about Returning to a World of Magic really struck a chord with me.  As like you, any recent announcements of upcoming changes at Walt Disney World Resort might affect me and my family too.

Firstly, I have some really wonderful news to share about an upcoming Guest perk!  As part of The World's Most Magical Celebration during 2021 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Walt Disney World Resort, Guests staying in select Resort hotels can gain up to 30 minutes early entry - every day to any Disney Theme Park!

There are so many Benefits of Staying in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, and one of my absolute favourites is that by staying on property, I never have to leave my magical bubble.  I have to admit, there's nothing better than the sense of being welcomed home to a place where I can totally enjoy my family, and not concern myself with the real world.

Although it's true, earlier this month MagicBands did cease to be complimentary as part of Walt Disney World Resort holiday packages.  However, Guests do have the opportunity of being able to pre-purchase discounted MagicBands prior to their arrival at Walt Disney World Resort.  Plus there's still the fun option of personalisation too!  Additionally, for retuning Guests like you and me, we can re-use functioning MagicBands from our previous visits - I know I have a whole colourful spectrum to choose from!

There's always pixie dust happening behind the scenes at Disney.  For instance, improvements and updates to the My Disney Experience Mobile App are being made all the time.  In fact, did you know Guests can now Unlock Doors with their My Disney Experience App or can take advantage of Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering or even utilise Mobile Dine Check-In for Restaurants?  And best of all Guests can check for Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability at select Restaurants - now that's what I call extra magical!

I often refer to myself as being like Scrooge McDuck because I really do enjoy seeking out good value for my hard earned money!  My top tip for uncovering an enchanted offer to Walt Disney World Resort is to keep an Ear on these up-to-date Walt Disney World Deals and perhaps Sign up for Special Offers and News via this handy link.

Zoe, please do pop back if you have any further questions about planning a return visit for your family to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort.

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
