We've been to Disney many times but decided not to take the dining plan this time and wonder if a 10 year old must order from the adults menu (if we take the dining plan it's adult pricing) or can he still make his selections from the kids menu.

    Hi Kendra!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

While we've purchased the Disney Dining Plan many times on our Walt Disney World Resort vacations, sometimes, like you, we decide to opt out. When we visit during the colder months, we enjoy the dining plan because we seem to eat a bit more than in the summertime when it's so hot (though table service meals are always a nice break from the heat!).

If your 10-year-old prefers to order from the Kid's Menu when dining - he will be more than welcome to. I have a 13-year-old that eats like a bird, and she orders from the Kid's Menu often when we're in Walt Disney World! The restaurants at Walt Disney World are more than accommodating to Guests, and they will be happy to allow your son to order off whichever menu he prefers.

I hope this helps with your planning - have a magical day! - Diane W.
