    We've decided last minute to visit Magic Kingdom before our cruise. The last time we visited I was more prepared w/character meals, meet & greet schedules. Popular restaurants are now booked. Please recommend great counter service/must have snack?

    Thanks for the great question!

    I love table service restaurants all over Walt Disney World too, but there are so many amazing other things to eat that you should find this to be a fun way to see a different side of the parks!

    When it comes to the Magic Kingdom, I have a few favorites. You can decide which is right for you;
    1. The Sweet & Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich at Sleepy Hollow. There is a breakfast one too until noon, and as you can imagine the dessert ones are fantastic as well. But these larger sized sandwiches are tasty and great to share.
    2. Corn Dog Nuggets or a Foot-long hot dog at Casey's Corner. I prefer the nuggets, and I love just grabbing them for a portable meal on the go!
    3. The Lighthouse Sandwich at the Columbia Harbour House. I don't care for broccoli, but this hummus and broccoli slaw sandwich is my all time favorite counter service meal in all of the Magic Kingdom! Now it is not always available, so check first.
    I tried to go with entree type choices there, but you also have a lot of sweet treats that could help you fill out your daily requirements. The Cinnamon Roll at Gaston's Tavern   is a big treat to share, you can never go wrong wit a Mickey Ice Cream bar from any of the area carts, you could indulge in a sundae from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, or you can go with the classic DoleWhip from Aloha Isle. All good choices!

    I hope this helps!

    Have a Magical (and delicious) Vacation!
