We've booked a room through David's DVC points, how can I go about connecting that reservation with my park tickets and also being able make reservations and ride selections, as we're approaching being 6 months out from out from our vacation?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Alyssa!

You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney.  The holidays are my favorite time to visit Walt Disney World Resort.  With so many festive things to see and do, not to mention everything dressed up in its holiday best, it feels like there's an extra sprinkle of pixie dust around every turn.  I'm so excited to hear that you'll be experiencing the magic of the holiday season at Walt Disney World this year –– I think you're going to love it!

When you booked your Disney Vacation Club Resort stay, you should have received a Reservation Number once your booking was confirmed.  If you don't have this number, I recommend reaching out to the company you booked with and they should be able to locate that information for you.  Once you have your reservation number in hand, you'll want to head over to the Walt Disney World website and sign in with your Disney Account information.  To link your reservation, click on the "My Disney Experience" tab and look for "Resort Hotel" under "Alyssa's Plans and Tickets".  Click on the "Link a Reservation" button and then follow the onscreen prompts to enter your reservation information and finalize the linking process.  If you have any problems linking your information, you can give the My Disney Experience and MagicBands line a call at (407) 939-4357 and a Guest Services Cast Member should be able to assist you.

For me, there's no part of the Disney vacation-planning process that's quite as exciting as making your advance dining reservations and dreaming of which attraction you'll experience first.  However, if it's been a while since you've visited Walt Disney World Resort, the timeline for making those reservations may look a little different from the past.  Currently, Guests can book advance dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. However, if you're staying at a DVC Resort or Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you'll be able to book dining reservations for your entire length of stay (up to 10 days) at the 60-day mark.

And while I'm sad to report that the Disney FastPass system has been retired, you will have the option to add Disney's new Genie+ service to your ticket if you'd like to take advantage of expedited Lightning Lane access during your visit.  Beginning June 8, 2022, you'll be able to purchase Genie+ in the My Disney Experience app beginning at midnight on the day you plan to use the service. Then, as a DVC Resort Guest, you can make your first Lightning Lane selection beginning at 7 AM.  You'll also have the option to purchase Individual Lightning Lane access for some of Walt Disney World's most popular attractions –– just keep in mind that Individual Lightning Lane attractions aren't included with the purchase of Genie+. Also, Individual Lightning Lanes access is a separate purchase, so you aren't required to buy the Genie+ service in order to take advantage of shorter waits for these attractions.

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Alyssa.  If you think of anything else as you plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always here to help!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
