We’ve booked our first Disney cruise on a 3 night break and are in concierge. What things do people typically book? We have a 2 year old and a 5 and 7 year old and never cruised before. What kids clubs/adult activity combos typically work well? Thanks

Oh boy, Samantha! Thank you for stopping by planDisney to ask these great questions! I bet you're so excited for your family to go on your very first Disney cruise - I'm excited for you!

My two young boys embarked on their very first Disney Cruise last April and, let me tell you, it was beyond their wildest dreams. Your family is in for a real treat, and I'm not just talking about the never-ending soft serve ice cream on the pool deck. (But that too.)

As a Concierge Guest onboard Disney Cruise, Samantha, your expert-level service actually begins now! If you haven't heard from them already, the Concierge shoreside team should be emailing you any day to help you plan all the fun! They can assist in adult-exclusive dining reservations, beverage tastings, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Pirate's League appointments, spa appointments, Royal Gathering Character Meet and Greets, and "it's a small world" nursery! reservations.

I would suggest lining up your "it's a small world" nursery! reservations for your 2-year-old with a beverage tasting or adult-exclusive dining experience. My husband and I enjoyed having an adult-only brunch at Palo while our kids had a blast at the Kids Club. No reservations are required at the Kids Club, and we could drop in anytime! There are complimentary activities and events offered at the Kids Club throughout the day (and night!), and my two boys got to pick what specifically they were interested in by looking through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App with us while we were onboard.

Make sure you have the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App downloaded before you sail away on your cruise, Samantha. It will be your best pal while aboard. The entire list of daily activities, from Kids Club to trivia, movie showings to nightly themes, are located in the app. My family could easily scroll through and give a little "heart" to anything that interested us, and it would automatically create our own personal itinerary with all our favorite picks!

One last tip before I go: For Concierge Guests, my planDisney pal, Tracie, recommends attending the special Concierge Welcome Lunch when onboard. Hosts are ready to walk your family through all the onboard perks, including complimentary evening drinks, a private sundeck, exclusive character meet-and-greet, and early access to the Walt Disney Theatre. It's going to be so magical!

I hope that this information has been helpful for you, Samantha, but more than that, I truly hope you and your family have the most magical time on your Disney Cruise. There's really nothing like it. If you have any other questions that come up in your planning, give us a holler! We're happy to help!

    Magic awaits,
    McCayla
