We've booked a Cabin at Fort Wilderness and Golf Cart for our stay in July. I'd like to know what appliances are available in the cabin (esp. toaster & coffee maker) for breakfasts in the cabin. Also, best nearby restaurants . Thanks!

    Hi Deanna,

You're going to love staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort ...a wonderful respite at the end of a long day at the Parks!  With your specific questions, I must share with you the unofficial site www.allears.net, providing you a very long list (longer than I could fit here!) of the amenities included in the cabins. From the home page, click, "Walt Disney World," near the top of the page, then "Accommodations." If you scroll down a bit you'll see Ft. Wilderness Cabins as a link within the moderate resort category.

In addition to the convenience of having a kitchen, I can certainly direct you to our favorites in and around Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Trail's End, Mickey's Backyard BBQ and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue are all located on the grounds of the resort, with Advanced Dining Reservations recommended, especially for the dinner shows. You can also find quick foods at Crockett's Tavern, Chuck Wagon or Meadows Snack Bar for a sandwich, pizza, nachos or similar. Across the way at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you'll find The Whispering Canyon Cafe offering a hootin' hollerin' time for guests of all ages and stick to your ribs family platters fit for kings. We've also enjoyed Artist Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, however this location is considered signature dining.

There are so many fantastic dining options around Seven Seas Lagoon ...a hop, skip and jump from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Consider booking Advanced Dining Reservations at Chef Mickey's, 'Ohana or 1900 Park Fare, all of which are family favorites for us.

You'll want to book the reservations online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE, 407-939-3463. With your trip in July, you are well within the 180-day window of booking and the most popular dining locations WILL book up!

Feel free to contact me again for any other planning questions coming to mind.

Wishing you a MAGICAL vacation, Deanna!
