Ahoy there, Laurie!
So glad you charted a course for planDisney. That means you have an upcoming Disney cruise! Getting everything all shipshape before you travel is key, so I applaud your wanting to make sure you have nothing but smooth sailing.
I can totally understand why you want to change to the Main Seating instead of Second Seating with a 7-year-old. There’s a major difference between starting your meal around 5:15 P.M. and having to wait until 8:15 P.M. You would
contact Disney Cruise Line to request a change to your
assigned rotational dining seating, and they will do their very best to accommodate you. I would ask as soon as possible to give them plenty of time to work their magic. Although requests for a specific dining time cannot be guaranteed, I am optimistic that you can get this modified to better suit your family’s schedule.
Don’t despair if for some reason your dining time cannot be switched. There are so many great Quick Service spots on the pool deck, you could have a tide-me-over snack late afternoon like hamburgers and french fries or pizza. Another idea would be to order some yummy treats from
Room Service. (I’m partial to the chicken wings and the All Hands on Deck cheese plate in case you were wondering.)
Wishing you the best of luck with your seating switch and a fabulous time on your Disney cruise.
Happy Sailing!
