We've already booked 7 nights at All Star Movies resort. I keep hearing great things about Pop Century and am torn now. Are the rooms pretty much the same, just the atmosphere is different? We booked a preferred room in hopes of getting in the TS building.

    Hi Erin,
Our family has stayed in both of these resorts and he have enjoyed them both equally.

The resort layout is very similar, and the rooms are basically identical.  The main difference is the theme throughout the resorts.  The Pop Century Resort features buildings with themes from the 1950's, '60's, '70's, '80's and '90's.  There is a 'Computer Pool' in the '90's section, a 'Hippy Dippy' pool in the '60's section and a 'bowling pin' pool in the '50's.  The lobby has fantastic displays of things that were 'hip' through the different eras.  Some of the Disney characters you will find around here include Lady and the Tramp, Baloo and Mowgli, Goofy, and Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head.

It sounds like you have a Toy Story Fan in your family!  You won't be disappointed at the fun in store for you at the All Star Movies Resort.  The Toy Story section features a 27-foot-tall bucket of Green Army Men, a 30-foot-tall Woody icon and a 47-foot-tall Buzz Lightyear icon. The buildings are painted in bright colors and covered with playful details and hidden surprises.  If you have not already done so, give reservations a call at 407-WDISNEY and have them put your request for the Toy Story building right on your reservation.  While this cannot be guaranteed, they will do their best to accommodate your request.  As rooms are allocated ten days prior to your arrival, you might also call the resort directly (at 407-939-7000) ten days in advance of your arrival to re-confirm your building preference.

Erin, whatever you chose, have a wonderful vacation with your family!
