Hi. We've added a 5th day to our plans and can't decide between Animal Kingdom or Epcot for one day. Been over 15 yrs since visiting WDW. There are 3 of us- me (48), my daughter (25) and my granddaughter (5). We are leaning toward Epcot but not sure. Help?

Hi Laura! Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. In full disclosure, Disney's Animal Kingdom is my favorite park so if I had an extra day, you'd definitely find me there. Both parks are amazing, and can be great educational resources. I know that you'd have a blast no matter the park you choose, however, allow me to explain why I'd choose Disney's Animal Kingdom.

At Disney's Animal Kingdom you can show off your 'wild' side, and I'm not just talking about enjoying the exotic animals. There are street shows that go on throughout the day, and we love stopping to dance along. Even if dancing isn't your thing, The Tam Tam Drummers of Harambe in Africa always have us in stitches with their silly antics. The performance in Asia is Chakranadi. This sitar and tabla duo add the perfect touch to the complete the aesthetic appeal of walking through the streets of Anandapur. It's so easy to lose track of time here listening to the trance-inducing music. Be sure to pick up a Times Guide upon entering the park for listed show times.

In my opinion, one of the best entertainment options at Walt Disney World is the Festival of the Lion King. It has recently moved and can be located at its new home in Harambe Theater. This show is so much fun with its elements of crowd interaction, puppetry, and beautiful costumes. If the ocean is more of your thing, Finding Nemo-The Musical is also a great choice. The puppetry involved in this show has made me stop several times and ask, "How did they do that?"

I could go on about this amazing park, but unfortunately I am on a character limit. If you have any more questions please feel free to come back and ask them.

    Have a magical day!
