Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Elena!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m pleased as punch that you found us here as you prepare for your amazing visit to the Disneyland Resort in California next year! Not only have I spent most of my life living just around the riverbend from the resort, but last February, my family and I stayed at
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. So I’m glad to tell you about our experience with the weather, as well as help you get your Donald Ducks in a row for when those 2025 admission tickets are available. So let’s dive in!
Elena, as a native Southern Californian, I can tell you that February tends to be our most rainy month. This year, during our stay, we received over 12 inches of rain. By European standards, this may not seem like much, but most California months are very dry, so it was a bit of an adventure. February also tends to be our coldest month, this year we had highs of 18°C (about 64°F) and lows of 8°C (around 46°F). I know I felt like
Olaf most of the time, but coming from Finland, I’ll bet that sounds like a tropical getaway to you! As Queen Elsa always says, “
The cold never bothered you anyway!”
As for
theme park admission tickets, you can purchase those about 180 days in advance. Theme park reservations open up about 120 days in advance. As I write this, tickets are available for sale until early January next year. But if you're eager to secure your tickets right away, you can purchase multi-tiered tickets for your May 2025 visit. Then, you can
make theme park reservations once your travel dates are within that 120-day window.
I recommend marking your calendar precisely 120 days before the first ticket you plan to buy and circling back to purchase it as soon as it becomes available. That way, you can get your tickets and
make a reservation at the same time.
Well, as Anna and Hans love to sing,
Love is an Open Door, so make sure you're ready to purchase those theme park tickets the moment they open up the gates, Elena! If you need more tips or have more questions as you continue to plan, just reach out to me again – I’m always here to help.
I like warm hugs,Danielle
