    Hi Wes!!!! We're trying to an meals for someone who's diabetic. What restaurant options are available for them? Thanks for your help

    Hello Karen!

    I am very happy to inform you that Walt Disney World really goes the second mile when it comes to guests needing assistance with special dietary needs. In fact, Walt Disney World has a Special Dietary Requests webpage that explains how you can effectively plan your Advanced Dining Reservations for someone who is diabetic.

    Here are four general rules to follow for guests with special dietary needs:

    1. When you make your Advanced Dining Reservations online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE, ask the Cast Member to make a notation of your special diet on each reservation. NOTE: Always make a special request for a sugar-free dessert.

    2. I would recommend emailing the Walt Disney World Special Diets department at SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com or call at (407) 824-5967 and let them know your dietary requests.

    3. Talk to the Chef or Manager when you arrive at the Disney Restaurant to make sure they are aware of your dietary requests.

    4. Make sure you bring a carbohydrate guide with you to each Disney Restaurant.

    As I was doing research on your question, I did find the following Disney Restaurants that offer great choices for guests with diabetes:

    * Cosmic Rays - Magic Kingdom
    * Yachtsman Steakhouse - Disney's Yacht Club Resort
    * Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party (great sugar free desserts) - Magic Kingdom
    * Land Pavilion Food Court - EPCOT
