Hiya Ben! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort has been a family favorite of ours for quite some time. Every time we try to venture out to other Disney Resort hotels, we always find ourselves booking at least one night at this resort. The proximity to the Magic Kingdom coupled with the fantastic theming of the resort make it hard to pass up on any stay. Now with the addition of the Island Tower, the footprint of this resort continues to grow.
Ben, you'll be happy to know that even with the Island Tower pool area being just outside of the Fiji building at the Polynesian Village Resort, these rooms will still fall under the Resort View category. I was able to speak with a Cast Member a short time ago who confirmed this information. Please remember that when you book this type of room, you are not guaranteed to be placed in the Fiji building. You can call the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and make a request with a Cast Member. They will do their best to accommodate you when placing you in your room.
Next time you find yourself at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, make a point to grab breakfast at
Kona Cafe. I'm sure many Guests have been made aware of one of their most popular menu items, the Tonga Toast. While I love this option, the Macadamia Nut Pancakes reign supreme. The combination of macadamia nut butter and pineapple makes this a delicious and unique way to begin your day.
Ben, I hope this information helps you plan for your upcoming stay!
