    hi wes. how far in advance can we book a package. we are set for late may this year but want to plan well ahead next year. was blessed with nice bonus this year but not always guaranteed. any budget tips much appreciated

    Hello Mike!

    First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your bonus!!!  Awesome Job!!

    You have asked a GREAT question!  As of right now, you are allowed to only book a "Room Only" reservation through 2012 by calling 407-W-DISNEY.  You are not allowed to book anything online for 2012 at this time.  

    Typically, Magic Your Way Vacation Packages are available to book in August 2011 for your 2012 Disney World Vacation!!

    If you want to guarantee where you stay, you can right now book a "Room Only" reservation and then switch your "Room Only" reservation to a package in August.  That way you will know for sure you are set and ready to go for your next MAGICAL Walt Disney World Vacation!

    Here are some of my budget tips:

    1.  Bring your own snacks!  My family actually packs a whole suitcase full of snacks and drinks for our trip.  We then use the empty suitcase to bring home all of our "Disney Treasures"!

    2.  Give kids a budget!  My five kids are given a predetermined budget before our trip begins.  Once they spend their money, that is it.  (It's nice to have parents on a budget as well...)

    3.  Be Prepared!  Depending on when you make your vacation, make sure you pack sunscreen, rain ponchos, aspirin, etc.  These items are very expensive at Disney World.  It always pays to be prepared!
