Hi there Maria,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! I'm happy to hear you're planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort with your little one.
My wife and I visited the parks multiple times when our kids were under 5 years old, and from our experience, visiting the Happiest Place on Earth with young kids often makes the experience even more magical!
In general, I'm a big fan of adding the
Park Hopper and
Lightning Lane Multi Pass to our tickets when we visit for the added flexibility to our visits. If one park feels too busy, it's nice that we have the option to hop to the other one instead. Since I imagine your toddler will be in a stroller of some kind, the only thing to consider whether park hopping is worth it is if you feel up to the extra walking!
Likewise, I'm a huge fan of Lightning Lane Multi Pass because there are a number of Lightning Lane attractions for little ones and it helps to cut the lines down, which is a huge help when with toddlers. However, even more so, one of my favorite extra perks with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass is that you also get unlimited digital downloads of all your
Disney PhotoPass photos throughout your trip. These are high quality, professional photos in iconic locations (sometimes with characters) that you get to download and add to your trip photo album!
Two other suggestions would be first to make sure to factor in an early afternoon break for a nap or at least some downtime. We tried to push through it a few times and definitely regretted it around dinner time! Second, utilize the
Baby Care Centers located in each park. These are great spots for a quick snack, diaper change or potty break with toddler-sized toilets, and they also have vending machines with all kids of essentials for purchase.
We found that if we took it slow and let our kiddos lead the way, we had the best times on our trips when they were younger. I'm hoping you do as well and are able to make new magical memories with your little one at the Happiest Place on Earth! Thanks again for your question, Maria.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
