Hi! We’re excitingly doing Disney on the 24th of Dec. Our 1st family vacation (first vacation for hubby and I ever). We have a 7 year old and 3 year old. Is there anything we just HAVE to see or do with our one day to Magic Kingdom? TIA

Happy Holidays to you, Megan! Thanks for visiting us at Santa's Workshop! We at the Disney Parks Moms Panel love all things Disney, but we especially love Walt Disney World Resort during the Holidays! The Resorts are magical, the special characters are enchanting, and the holiday treats are extra delicious!

If you have only a day to spend at the 'World, I think Magic Kingdom Park is THE place to be! Plan on arriving early so that you can take advantage of all of the festivities! I would start with a stop at Guest Relations, where you can pick up Celebration Buttons to let everyone know you are celebrating Christmas! Next stop, Fantasyland, which is MADE for the littles! Both of your kiddos will love soaring through the sky on the back of their favorite elephant, and one of the best places to visit Disney friends is right next door at Pete's Silly Side Show. Before you move on to other adventures, you must ride "it's a small world." The iconic attraction is a must-do every time we visit!

If you have adventurers in your midst, take a hurtle through the galaxy on Space Mountain (little-bit is probably not tall enough, so take advantage of Rider Switch)! And don't miss Tomorrowland Speedway, where the classic track is decked out in holiday finery. Our favorite holiday-themed ride is Jingle Cruise, where you join hilarious skippers on a holly, jolly journey through the jungle!

Megan, make sure to pick your FastPass+ selections ahead of time, to maximize your fun at Magic Kingdom Park! The holidays are busy at the Resort, so when you are ready for a break, head to Frontierland, right by Country Bear Jamboree, and watch the holiday-themed parade. The park guide or your My Disney Experience app will have the times. I wish you the Very Merriest of Christmases!
