Greetings, Elizabeth! Thanks for stopping by planDisney! As a dad of three young adult boys, I can relate to your question about teen siblings not wanting to share the same bed while on vacation! Getting the boys to decide who was sharing a bed was a battle as epic as Luke Skywalker vs. Darth Vader!
One solution is to request a rollaway bed for your resort room. As long as the number of occupants doesn’t exceed the allowable limit, you can request a rollaway bed to make sleeping arrangements more comfortable for your family.
Rollaway beds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Room-type (i.e. space limitations) might also be taken into consideration when deciding if a rollaway bed is allowable in your resort room. I recommend requesting the rollaway bed before your arrival. Once you arrive, it’s a good idea to follow up on your request at the front desk.
Elizabeth, I hope the rollaway bed will bring peace to your galaxy!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is a great place to call your “Disney home!” My family loves this resort hotel! From watching the animals from our Savanna view room balcony, to lounging by the huge pool, to visiting the flamingos, there is so much to enjoy at this resort! Another favorite feature of Animal Kingdom Lodge is the food! Oh my gosh!
Boma – Flavors of Africa is a must! My boys aren’t the most adventurous eaters, so I wasn’t sure at first if they would appreciate Boma. I was wrong! The all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast buffet didn’t know what was coming when my sons arrived!
Also, Animal Kingdom Lodge is a deluxe resort hotel at Disney World! As Guests of a deluxe resort hotel, you will have access to the
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours benefit! This perk allows Guests of deluxe resort hotels to remain in select theme parks on select nights, after the park closes to other Guests! This perk is another favorite of my teen/young adult kids! Like their dad, they love those late nights in the Disney Parks!
Dreams do come true!
