Went to Pop last year and LOVED the conv/proximity of the pools/shopping/food from our pref. room. Want to upgrade to get a good waterslide and are looking a CRB but want to be sure to be close to pool. What room category is closest to the main pool?

Hi, Heather! Pop Century offers a lot of good options within close hoofing distance to a pool, food court and bus transportation. It also offers the Tie Dye Cheesecake. 'Nuff said.

The best apples-to-apples comparison (not the game, which I always win) of a value resort to a moderate resort - in my opinion - is Pop Century and Port Orleans French Quarter. POFQ follows a familiar recipe: one place to access bus transportation, the main building has the food court and gift shop, and the pool is in the center of the resort.

Caribbean Beach Resort varies fairly significantly from Pop Century. The buildings are so spread out and busses loop around the entire property to help get you from Point A to Point B. And, depending where your room is, you may need to take the internal bus to the main building (with the food court) and pirate pool. All things being equal, I prefer Pop Century over Caribbean Beach Resort.

If you stick with Caribbean Beach Resort, try to get a room near Old Port Royale Centertown in either Martinique (buildings 24, 25 and 26) or Trinidad North (building 31.)
