We went October 2021 and did the build your own light Sabre but nothing is working on the light saber now, I have taken the crystal out and removed the blade but still nothing. Does it have batteries or something in it?

    Bright Suns, Kyle!

I know that you must love your Savi's Workshop Handbuilt Lightsaber! I had the opportunity to build a Lightsaber at Savi's Workshop with my son and his wife on my Disney vacation in November 2021, and I can tell you firsthand that it was amazing! It was a Star Wars religious experience!

There are three AAA batteries in a Savi's Workshop Handbuilt Lightsaber. The batteries are located at the bottom of the Lightsaber between the Kyber Crystal and the Endcap. There are a few easy steps to remove the battery holder and change out the batteries. The only tool that you will need is a small Phillips Head screwdriver.

    1. First, remove the Endcap piece by twisting counterclockwise until it comes off (the Endcap is the bottom-most part of the Lightsaber)
    2. Then, pull out the black battery canister (holder) from the gray cylinder. You may have to rock the battery canister gently back and forth to free it from the gray cylinder. The battery canister should slide out.
    3. Remove the one small Phillips Head bolt on the side of the battery canister (be careful not to lose it)
    4. Slide the battery cover sleeve off to reveal the AAA batteries
    5. Remove the AAA batteries and install new AAA batteries (make sure that the positive and negative battery ends are in their correct position according to the diagram inside the battery canister)
    6. Put the battery cover sleeve back on the battery canister and tighten the Phillips Head bolt
    7. Place the battery canister back into the Lightsaber, making sure you align the red arrows when you put it back in (there is a red arrow on the black battery canister and a red arrow inside the gray cylinder). These two red arrows should be pointing toward the Kyber Crystal if you are installing the battery canister correctly
    8. Install the Endcap piece back onto the Lightsaber by twisting clockwise. You should hear a humming Lightsaber sound as the Encap is tight, which means that you have installed everything correctly

Jedi master, you are now ready for any Lightsaber battles!
